Fia is our first akita and our gateway into the breed. She was rescued from a BYB situation by the local animal shelter as a young puppy. Following adoption, she was returned less than a year later by a family who did not understand the breed. We were so fortunate to adopt her and fell in love with the loyal Akita! Fia is a rescue and a spayed female so will not (and shouldn't be) bred, but she is the foundation of our kennel and will always hold a special place in our hearts.
